In a surprising partnership that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized release, "An unusual confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of banned rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras.
